I can load a mobi file on my ipad and it'll open with the Kindle app. The epubs open in ibooks. I love the ipad but I like a smaller device to read on. So it'll definitely be the mini for me if/when it comes out. (Hopefully in time for Christmas!)SQThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04251030404220909306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-55282503134540185.post-89806353085702228752012-08-28T09:49:16.192-07:002012-08-28T09:49:16.192-07:00I have two eReaders. I originally only had the backlit type and loved it, but when we were going on a beach vacation for a week I decided to ask for the e-ink type for my birthday and it's great too. They both have their uses. My vision isn't what it used to be and I actually struggle to read off of the traditional Kindle when I'm sitting in my recliner. Believe it or not it gets a fair amount of glare and I find it easier to read the backlit display most of the time. But in full sunlight (like the beach) you can't beat the e-ink.

I've had my Nook for a couple of years and, unfortunately it's become really glitchy after the latest update, so I'm not sold on buying another Nook. I'm actually hoping they do come out with an ipad mini because I can't read on a full sized ipad, but love the Apple technology. I bought a Sony, because Kindle was available in Canada at the time, but I will likely go the Kindle route if it ever dies.

As nice as the Kindle Fire is, though, I'm not sure I'm ready to move away from the e-ink display. Might hold out for the new back-lit e-ink Kindle Touch they've been talking about.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02998502637742703857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-55282503134540185.post-30072703743319170262012-08-28T09:37:41.874-07:002012-08-28T09:37:41.874-07:00Same here. Most people just ask if I like it. Everyone knows that the more shallow 5 star reviews on Amazon are most likely fake. We need to see the thoughtful 3 star reviews to be convinced a book is legitimately worth reading. Please. No book have only 5's. I would not buy a book with only 5's. it just tells me that she or he had all her friends write reviews. I wish authors would understand that a bad grade is not badBlodeueddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03435479623560871881noreply@blogger.com
