Thanks, as always, to Penguin Books I have a copy of Rob Thurman's Deathwish to offer for giveaway. I LOVE this series. Here's the [small] review I did for The Sacramento Book Review: Caliban Leandros is half-human and half-monster. He and his brother Niko thought they had defeated the Auphe, the deranged creatures that Cal is descended from, but they’re back and they have a terrifying fate in store for Cal. The situation becomes even more complicated when a vampire Cal and Niko have been hired to protect turns up dead. "Deathwish" is the fourth book in Rob Thurman’s Cal Leadros series and while it’s a wild ride, it’s also quite a bit more introspective than the rest. Alternating between Cal and Niko’s perspective, Thurman goes deeper into character development than ever before. Cal, like a lot of protagonists in paranormal fiction, has more than his share of cynicism but Thurman does a good job at making sure it isn’t just pointless snark. "Deathwish" also has great, reoccurring characters that keep the series consistent and entertaining. Going beyond standard vampire fiction by fusing urban fantasy with a vast array of mythological creatures, it’s a fast-paced, imaginative and very enjoyable installment in a solid fantasy series. If you're like me and love Thurman's series, then either leave a comment here or email me at sqt1969(at)gmail(dot)com under the header "Deathwish" to enter and I will randomly pick a winner by Friday March 20th. Please be sure I can reach you easily. If I cannot reach a winner within 48 hours I will pass the book onto another entrant. Multiple entries will be disqualified. Open everywhere. Good luck!
