Clone Wars???

Hey there, Skippy said...

i kinda love clone wars, for the art if nothing else. i agree with CC, "V???????" indeed.

SQT said...

Yeah, but Clone Wars and not A New Hope? Or even Revenge of the Sith? And no Close Encounters? No Space Odyssey? And ET comes in ahead of Aliens? Who are these people??

sqt, the list is the best movies of the last 25 years. A New Hope, Close Encounters and Space Odyssey are all 30+ years old movies.

SQT said...

Ooooooh. Guess I should pay attention to these things.

SQT said...

Okay then. V????

Hey there, Skippy said...

Yeah: "V?????" I think we're all down with that one.

Crunchy Carpets said...

But you have to admit....you have watched reruns of V!

SQT said...

Do they play reruns of V? I haven't seen them on here in a loooong time. But I would probably watch it.

There were some odd choices. V was a favourite.

I don't have the energy to go into a lengthy rant this afternoon. Suffice it to say I feel -- see, I'm being a grown-up and avoiding accusing statements -- I feel it is quite incorrect.

I do have to admit I was a kid when 'V' came out and the whole thing tripped me out of my head. Watching the Visitors pull off their human masks and Diana dislocating her jaw to eat that rat? Permanently etched into my young mind. I think I waited in dread for the space ships to arrive every night for months.

Brazil???

Is there something I'm missing.. I don't know what's so sci-fi about a country, unless it's like HHGTG and Belgium.. but still. I think that's too much of a stretch.

Fab said...

Hey! What's sci fi about Belgium?

If you people would only choose me as your messianic leader and blindly follow me to the ends of the earth, doing my bidding, giving me whatever I desire, whenever I desire it, this sort of stuff wouldn't happen. But no, you're all too selfish and independent.

Well.....I hope you're satisfied. Top in the genre in twenty five years??? I'm shocked they didn't shove Buffy in there at number five. And hey, where's Stan Lee's Reality show: "So You Wanna Be A Superhero."

Alright, I'm going off to brood. You...all of you who are under the age of thirty five better do something about this. It's your fault.

SQT said...

I'm over 35. :D

Not that that's a good thing.........

I am starting to us 'You Young Whipper Snappers' a lot these days.

Now that I have regained some control over myself. I think "V" is a very appropriate choice. You probably needed to see it when it came out, though, because looking back it's a bit on the cheesey side.

Someone must be out of touch. I don't think its me. How the heck did V get in there, and 99% of the world didn't even bother watching Clone wars because we didn't like the style.
