Star Wars???!!!! I have this image of Lucas sneaking up and throwing eggs at your window, puss. STARWARS???!!! I can only assume you are a young person whose frame of reference are the awful three movies that Lucas did starting with The Phantom Menace. It's Jar Jar that bugs you, isn't it?
jedimerc, you are my hero, skewering Whedon and Rodenberry with one swipe. I liked Firefly, but the strange devotion to Buffy is something which I suspect most fans will look back on with the same embarrassment they now feel recalling their "New Kids On The Block" or "NSYNC" phases.
I didn't vote Potter because it's supposed to be for kids. I don't know that I should judge it as an adult and I enjoyed it for what it was.
And though I like Spiderman I ended up voting for that. I don't know if it's because Kirsten Dunst was cast a M.J., but that probably has a little something to do with it...

It was a tough choice between Star Wars and Harry Potter but I went with Star Wars as it has annoyed me for more of my life.
I'm gonna make that cat into mittens.

I guess this is one blog where you don't want to be dissing on Star Wars. Hee.
I voted for Spiderman. I just haven't been that impressed with the films so far.
Hey Stewie, don't generalize. I prefer the 3 original Star Wars to the new ones. They don't have the same feel.
Spiderman! God I hate those movies. Sample scene:
Peter Parker: I'm conflicted about having powers.
Mary-Jane: Simper. I have nothing to reccomend me to the human race other than my rack.
Peter Parker: I wish Uncle Ben wasn't dead. Was it my fault?
Mary-Jane: Ooops, I've been captured!
Rubbish Supervillain: Hahaha my evil deeds are completely random and motiveless, thereby rendering the entire plot laughable
Peter Parker: I must not abuse my spider powers
Mary Jane: I'll sleep with you if you rescue me.
Spiderman: My costume makes me look ridiculous. I've saved the day.
Mary-Jane: Oh, I can't sleep with you as I am conflicted by your powers.
Peter Parker: I am alone.
repeat ad nauseum
OH. MY. GOD. STOP. IT. PLEASE.
Skippy! LOL...and so true...
My dh said the same thing... make him stop whining and dump that skanky ho!
Well put, Skippy!
*sniff*
I love you guys.
You guys make me laugh out loud at least once a day.
Joss Wheedon has made more bad actors appear cool to drooling fans than anyone in history, save perhaps for Gene Roddenberry :)
I have watched some of Star Trek, half Star Wars, only Firefly from, and some of Harry Potter.
I have not seen any of LOTR or BSG. Perhaps I should not say anything.
Potter got my vote!
Spiderman all the way for me (as most overrated)

Bite thy tongue, Jean-Luc!
Ok, so those kids can't really act, but still...
Battlestar Gallactica, though Skippy has a point about Spiderman.

i voted spiderman
What's with all this Spidey hating? I don't get it. Okay, you all turn in your comics now. You're officially cut off.
Spiderman is the greatest comics film ever created, and the second film was just as good. I'm dying for number three.
I voted Star Trek. But it should be a tie between that and anything by Joss Whendon.
And Spiderman rocks!!! Don't be haters. ;)
Stew, Stew, Stew...
*shakes head*
The Punisher with Dolph Lundgren was the best comics movie ever made, followed closely by X-Men.
So you understand the scale, Catwoman edges out Hudson Hawk (yes, they made a comic) through sheer inanity of dialogue.
No hatin'. Really.
I like Spiderman, but there's always something that just misses for me. I don't know why. Maybe Skippy hit on it; it's just a little too angsty.
It's not the angst I hate about the Spidey movies (I can't get enough of it in X-Men) it's the sheer unmitigated uselessness of:
a) the acting
b) the writing
c) the acting
d) the writing
I was watching Spidey 2 last night and good lord....the angst...
