You Don't Call, You Don't Write........

Where is everyone? Have my posts been that boring? I hope everyone is okay. Crunchy gets a pass because she really is dealing with some health issues. So if you don't want to comment here, be sure to check in on Crunchy and give her your well wishes.

I think it is because of Sunday. I always seem to get more traffic during the week (I know a lot of people catch up on these things at work... ) Of course, they could be ignoring me for other reasons :)

I'm here. I had surgery on Friday, so I've been a bit slow. Still. I think that there are cycles. Last wednesday, I had an amazing number of hits. The last couple days. Not so much.

I am actually starting to take a more laid back approach. Maintaining a blog, which is more than just posting each day, or every other day, is a lot of work.

I'm a Mon-Fri kind of girl. I had no idea that you mist me.

Believe me Mist, we notice when you're not around.

I hope you're doing okay Stewart. I've had surgery in the past, so I know how it can be. And maintaining a blog is a lot of work. I think that's why I look forward to the comments. That way I feel like I accomplished something.

I hope you are ok Stewart..any surgery takes alot out of us.

some of the slack is also the "down" from the holidays being over..and adjusting to the "winter cycle"...

Ermm... I'm back in business, and should be lurking/posting again.

My excuse is my extreme susceptibility to the whims of cosmic irony. Poetic justice, too.

You see, about an hour after making that post on my blog about finally having my internet working again (*makes lewd gestures in the general direction of his isp's home office*), and promising everyone that I would grace them with my presence once more, guess what happened.

Right. It doesn't take Terry Pratchett to develop the dramatic irony in this scenario. I say "Yay Internet!" and Internet, acting as nemesis yet again, enlists the Karma Fairy to take a big poetic poopie on my head.

So to speak.

Anyway, it's not as dramatic as having to go in for surgery, I admit. However, I hope it's a bit more humorous.

Oh, and I just saw your post on Dresden. They've been up here at my new Southern home (Toronto - and yes, I'm American, but it's quite a jaunt south from Northern Minnesota) filming stuff for the series. Someone was trying to get me to go down and land a spot as an extra with them, but I've never read the books, so I decided to worry about my research papers instead (foiled again by grad school!).

Besides, I saw how that extra thing works when I was going to try to get in on that piece of @#$% DaVinci Code movie when I was studying at Oxford. Screw that noise! It's not worth sitting out in the cold for eight hours to have part of my left ear appear in a major motion picture. =)

Anyway, I thought it was all very six degrees of SciFi Channel how everything relates around here.

Good to have you back Alex. I hope that stupid internet connection doesn't act up again.

The weekends do get quiet.
I spent today pretending to be a part of my family and surfing the sites.

We did get the christmas tree chipped.

Now I have the kids in bed and think I will probably do some reading in peace.

Oh and Stewart... I hope you feel ok!
